Davis Scores Second Win of 2015, 10 Top-10s at World Series
Georgia Driver Battles Back To Win After Losing Lead Late
Spencer Davis rolled into victory lane at New Smyrna Speedway (FL) for the second time during the 2015 racing season after picking up the Pro Late Model win on Night #2 of the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing.

The 16-year-old driver from Dawsonville, Georgia started eighth, but quickly got to the lead.  He led most of the feature, but lost the lead on a late restart to Tyler Thomas.  It took everything Davis had for him to catch and pass Thomas with just two laps to go to take the win.

"I thought it was barely slipping out of my hands," Davis said in victory lane.  "Luckily I caught him coming to two to go and grabbed the win.  That was definitely nerve-wracking right there, but it's an awesome way to rebound after yesterday."

After being disqualified from his win on Friday night this win was extra sweet for Davis.

"It's definitely sweet," he said.  "We had some problems in tech yesterday, but it's sweet to know that we can fix the car and come back and win and be competitive.  It's just awesome."

At the end of eight nights of racing at New Smyrna Speedway in the Pro Late Model, Super Late Model and Tour-Type Modified divisions, Davis recorded five top-five and 10 top-10 finishes in 20 starts.
