Davis Scores Another Top Five in K&N East Finale
Dawsonville Driver Places Fourth at Dover

DOVER, Del. (October 4, 2015) - Racing in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE) season finale at Dover International Speedway, Spencer Davis recorded his fourth top-10 finish in the series in as many starts with NTS Motorsports this season. Completing his first-career laps in any series at the track nicknamed "The Monster Mile," Davis picked up 14 positions en route to a fourth-place finish while driving the No. 20 Ruud Chevrolet in the 125-lap event.

With on-track activities originally scheduled for Friday, Hurricane Joaquin had other plans, as heavy rains moved through the area, postponing all scheduled events. The field was set by owner's points, which resulted in an 18th-place starting position for the 16-year-old driver from Dawsonville, Georgia. With the race postponed from Friday afternoon, NASCAR attempted to run the race on Saturday morning before additional rain showers once again delayed the event, ultimately pushing the green flag to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. Unable to make any laps prior to the green flag on the one-mile concrete oval, Davis leaned on preparation for the race through laps on iRacing and observing a brief NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice session. Fortunately, Davis also had confidence in himself and his NTS Motorsports team to draw upon from their string of top-10 finishes in each of their races together. After taking the green flag in the 18th position, Davis immediately began his climb through the field. Scored inside the top 10 within just 22 laps, Davis worked closely with crew chief Doug Howe when determining what adjustments to make to his Ruud Chevrolet during the two competition caution breaks. Steadily improving his position throughout the event, the rookie driver found himself restarting the race from the eighth position following the second and final competition caution period. With less than 50 laps remaining in the event, Davis slowly reeled in the competition as he climbed into the fifth position by lap 89, and ultimately brought his Ruud Chevrolet home in the fourth position.

Spencer Davis on Dover International Speedway:
"I have so much fun working with this Ruud Chevrolet team from NTS Motorsports. We had to start mid-pack again this week since qualifying was rained out, but everyone did a great job preparing the car and gave me exactly what I needed to be able to race through the field. This is such a great team and they build awesome racecars; it's just a lot of fun coming to the track knowing that I get to work with this group. As always, I can't thank everyone at Ruud and NTS Motorsports enough for this opportunity-I'm living the dream this year."

Davis will have one more chance this season to claim a checkered flag when he competes in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West season finale with NTS Motorsports on Friday, November 12 at Phoenix International Raceway.
