Davis Has a Busy Memorial Day Weekend
Experience Gained Against Top-Level Competition
They competed in a PASS South event at Caraway Speedway in Sophia, NC on Friday night then traveled all night to compete at the Southern Super Series event at Mobile International Speedway in Mobile, AL on Saturday night.

Davis finished 12th in the PASS South event on Friday night.

“We were running fourth gaining on third and second. The leader has already checked out.  We got to the back bumper of Zak Hausler’s car until we went into the corner and all of a sudden we lost our brakes,” Davis said. “Fortunately, we didn’t hit the wall but lost 20 laps repairing them.”

After that event, Davis and his team traveled overnight to Mobile International Speedway.

Davis qualified 12th for the 125-lap event and held on to an 11th place finish.  This was the first time he competed in a super late model at the half-mile facility.

“We qualified better than what we expected, we really haven’t ran here much. The car started loose and we came in at the halfway break and threw too much at it,” Davis said after the race.  “I think we would have been good, but with about 30 to go, the motor laid down on us and limped to the finish.”

Davis will be back in his super late model this Saturday night competing in the Southern Super Series 125 at Montgomery Motor Speedway in Montgomery, AL.
